Twin flames are a concept that has taken off hugely over the internet in new age, and spiritual communities in recent years. Many, have spent years in tarot readings, calling psychic hotlines or spent countless hours or thousands of dollars on twin flame coaching, readings, or working with spiritual leaders claiming to be able to help them to manifest their twin flame back (a cult even exists which has manipulated and taken its members for millions all while falsely guaranteeing ‘union’). I myself even was manipulated by some of their online material at one point many years ago, and was caught doing some aimless “self-work” that they were promoting, because I was so desperate. There are a lot of people on the internet claiming to be offering twin flame coaching, and while some of them may be helpful, my own experience is that most of them have gotten the wrong idea about this connection, and some are charging rates to coach that are beyond reasonable (actually get into the realm of exploitive), and are taking advantage of people’s desperation to get their twin flame back.

I spent many years on this ‘twin flame path’ and trying to understand all this intuitive information I was getting & obsessive thinking, even while I had zero contact with my twin flame. Like you, I was all over the internet looking for answers, and people that I could speak to.
While I will leave all potential clients to make their own decisions about twin flame teaching, and where they get their information and study the phenomenon- I do highly recommend Kurt Johnson, who is really the twin flame expert whose online material gave me the understanding that I needed-which FINALLY brought me peace after such a long time (also much of his information is free) I feel like I was held back from this for so long, not just by my own doubts and obsessive thinking but by all of the unhelpful information about twin flames that is currently on the internet. This kept me trapped by making me think that I needed to do healing on my twin, or manifesting meditations and protocols endlessly to get them back and this made me believe I would never have any peace. My obsessive fixation about “union” or “reaching spiritual purity” kept me looking for answers to my questions and solutions to my suffering that were outside of myself. It seemed to be a never ending cycle that I couldn’t control and I only wanted it to stop. I felt so powerless and hopeless
What most of the twin flame teachers do get correct, is that your twin flame is simply you in another body, or as Kurt Johnson points out, another incarnation of yourself. What also most of them get correct, is that meeting your twin flame, or your other self is a catalyst for awakening and expansion of consciousness. But where most of us go wrong, is in romanticizing the experience, and letting ourselves fall into a trap of obsessive thinking about getting into union with our twin flame once we inevitably go into separation from them, and missing the opportunity that is presented by the dark night of the soul for expanding our consciousness.

Union- Getting Beyond Duality and Transcending Twin Flames
The way to get into union with your twin flame is to transcend duality and to get into union with yourself, realizing that
you can never be in separation because they are you. Once you do this, it will not matter to you whether or not your twin
flame ever returns to you because you will feel joyful regardless of the outcome (and paradoxically this state of genuine
neutrality is usually when they do actually return).
But reaching this point is not easy…
Simply stopping talking to your twin flame, stopping looking at their social media, and looking at media content that is
related to twin flames and especially to stop thinking about your twin flame at all is hard. Detaching from them, to focus
on yourself, this inner work, and expansion of your consciousness is no easy task, especially when you are facing a dark night
of the soul when you go into separation, your heart is broken and you have to handle the aftermath.
There is an almost addictive energy that is difficult to overcome, and going through the process of detaching, and focusing on yourself, your own wholeness and coming out of duality consciousness can be difficult, especially if you have developed deep rooted patterns and habits related to your twin flame.
